Before we jump into May and kick off our spring planting season, we wanted to give Earth Month a proper send-off. April is an exciting time for us to connect and engage with many new and existing partners and supporters as we collectively turn our focus to the Earth.

We want to thank our partners for celebrating Earth Month with us and marking this important time of year through education, commitment and action. As Project Forest grows, so do the number of trees in the ground, communities impacted and new partnerships. In April alone, we have welcomed 3 new partners to the Project Forest family, allowing us to fund the forests we are planting this year around Western Canada.

This was our biggest Earth Month to date, made possible through collaborations with our partners! We gave away 2,230 Project Forest Seed Kits and gave nine presentations with six different funding partners over the week. With the help of IKEA Canada, we reached thousands of IKEA customers through their donation at the check-outs program at the IKEA Edmonton and IKEA Calgary stores. We did a live webinar on the Native Women’s Association of Canada Facebook page and gave away 500 Seed Kits in record time at the Pembina offices. Thank you, Tidewater Midstream, Keyera, IKEA Canada, Pembina Pipeline, Alberta Motor Association and the Native Women’s Association of Canada for celebrating Earth Month with us!

If you’ve been thinking about becoming a partner, now’s a great time! Let’s get our boots and shovels ready because it’s forest planting season!
